Meet the Hive

Meet Jonathan and Nathalie — owners of Honeycomb Studios — a family-owned, full-service design hive based in San Diego! Jonathan was born and raised here and received a degree in Marketing and Masters in Entrepreneurship and Nathalie graduated with a degree in Graphic Design — together they started Honeycomb Studios way back in 2007 (almost 20 years ago!).

We met in our early 20s and our creative minds clicked instantly – our love of music, art, and photography! We have grown up together, learned together, started a business together and raised 3 kids together! Crazy right?

We are a fun, creative duo who loves art and loves people! We pride ourselves in our hard work, maintaining long-lasting clients and pouring love into their businesses so they can succeed!

A retainer is a monthly package that gives you a set number of design hours each month — at a discounted rate! Think of it as having an expert (Honeycomb Studios!) as a dedicated extension of your team — without the overhead of a full-time employee.

We take the workload off of your hands. We get to know your business, your brand, your goals and we simplify your work flow by creating the materials you need to succeed. Since we’ve been doing this for so long (20+ years!), we have the knowledge, technical expertise, the subscriptions for the programs you need, and know how to implement them, while you watch your business grow!

For now, these are the plans we offer. But we are always evolving! If there is something custom you are looking for, ask!

No worries! Any extra hours beyond your monthly plan are simply billed at $120/hr. The cool thing is after the 4 months, you can upgrade to a higher plan at any time! If you decide the lite plan wasn’t enough for that month, you can upgrade to the growth plan (and get an even better discount), etc!

Unfortunately not — hours are use-it-or-lose-it each month. Not sure how many hours you need? We’re happy to help you figure out the right plan before you commit! We can help you come up with a list of items for us to work on monthly to make sure you get the most out of you plan!

We ask for a 4-month minimum to start, which gives us time to really get into a groove together and deliver consistent results. After that, you’re free to adjust your plan up or down as your needs change.

Absolutely! After your initial 4 months, you can upgrade or downgrade anytime to make sure you’re always getting the right level of support.
